Another piece for whatever the heck I’m making.
It’s a harness with a steel bar construction on the back.
I’ve been drooling over similar ones on ebay, but I was lucky enough to find this one downtown in a shop called www.armyshopen.se.

I guess Haglöfs is the company that made it.
So it’s Swedish, but why does it say Israel?
What it used or made there?
Doesn’t make sense to have green equipment there. And I don’t think it’s like Ikea when they give their products rediculous names.

Anyway, this thing is great. I use it to take out the trash and carry stuff while still having my hands free. On my way to work I can hook my backpack and guitar on there and still be able to use my phone.

There was different models at the army shop, most included old backpacks but were 100 SEK more. This originally only had one shoulder belt, but 30 minutes of poking around resulted in another one.

And I know it doesn’t look like it, but it’s really comfortable!
The straps are thicker than on most backpacks, and the green shade speaks to my boyish genes. I’ll use this together with my GSH6 Helmet.

Now I only need a suit. White or Green?

The Lunar Boot

“Making a exceptionally rare appearance on the market, a fascinating Apollo training boot stomped to a final price of $21,510 - almost double its $8,000-12,000 estimated value.”

Materials:
Exterior: Beta cloth, Chromel-R, Velcro, silicone rubber/compound, steel Interior: Beta cloth

These boots were made for and worn by Eugene Cernan, commander of the Apollo 17 mission that landed on the moon on December 10, 1972.

The International Latex Corporation made the boots which were part of Cernan’s extra-vehicular (EV) equipment. The EV boots were worn over the boots that were integrated into the spacesuit and which included the pressure bladder and thermal coverings. The boots were made with a silicone sole, woven stainless steel uppers (Chromel-R), and included additional layers of thermal protection and beta felt in the soles as protection against extreme temperatures and sharp rocks on the lunar surface.

Yeah, I’m won’t be getting my hands on these.
Maybe my gf can help me make some sort of replica though.

Let’s set a few things straight, ok?

The top helmet is a GSh-6. Notice that the tubing is on the helmet’s left side and the electric demister connection cover on the right is made out of steel. Used only a short period of time between 1967-1968 before replaced by the following (second picture):

The GSh-6A.
Most websites will list this as a GSh-6 and NOT as a GSh-6A which is driving me out of my mind. The tubing is on the helmet’s right side and the electric demister connection cover is made out of semi-transparent plastic.
The entire ring around the glass is also different to the original, with a cheaper light blue colour instead of the more solid metal look.
The Soviet GSh-6A Helmet was used between 1968 and 1980 for Mig-21’s, MiG-23’s and MiG-25’s, replacing the GSh-4.

Third picture shows the GSh-6A with mirrored glass. AFAIK there’s only one picture of this on the internet so the mirrored finish might be a custom job.
It’s a nice touch but it doesn’t compensate for the cheaper parts.

The stars are probably from a quick google search.

This escape pod isn’t really that effective.
Instead of just dropping down through a hatch, it has a tall launch pipe to go through before exiting the ship, which will make it burn most of its fuel.
The Pod is also rectangular, which doesn’t bode well for the descent. It has no steering rudders or flaps, and it’s tight and inhospitable.
Those who wish to use it is recommended to spend some time with it, pimping it out with upgrades.
I would recommend installing a life-support system and a seatbelt. And a seat.

Metal Gear Icon Windows 95 style by *Wrim

So this is like the cardboard box in Metal Gear Solid but since this is about icons, they’ll use a folder instead.

If I ever get my ass out of the wagon (yes, my ass is in a wagon apparently) I’ll make *.Icons - The Game.
There’ll be a story mode, but the second time you play it, it’ll be all about finding glitches and exploring.
I want to make a game which main theme isn’t about the game, but about the glitches and flaws in the code.
Maybe you could use a folder to sneak into the AntiVirusProgram’s Registries to get like, harmful code or something so you could hack stuff. That would be cool.
